So, I'm entering the final stages of this shikifuku, and I wanted some opinions on a few of the details. I'm a little less than pleased with them, but I can't figure out exactly what to do to make them better, and my mom is unhelpful and has too much faith in me or something, and thus says that everything looks fine to her ^^; So, comments and such are appreciated...trying to make this masquerade-worthy ^^;

Front Crest: 1 2 3

Sleeve Crests: 1 2 3 4

EDIT: Slow me, I forgot the reference pics ^^; One and two

If you are looking for little things...

Then I agree with shineko the front crest pretty much looks good, but the petals could use a little more shape definition... like the niches in them. But really... they do look good how they are. That is just how they could be a little closer to the reference.

Also on the sleeves - the lines do look a little wobbily and just a -tinytiny- bit too thin. But I think that maybe they only look thin because of the wobbly look it has close up. Another thing - the darker black of the petals on the sleeves... I can't tell if they are there on your's... curious if you are leaving that out or haven't done it yet? (Btw, the star on the sleeve in pic 3 looks awesome)

^^;; I know I'm no good person to talk (yay value village *nervous laughter) but you asked and I responded I guess? Gomen if all of this sounds awful. Overall they look -good,- but if you wanted comments on how to be 'better' then... there?

Did you do all that with paint btw?

The gold is in paint, the red on the sleeves I actually sewed on my machine (although, it looks like I might go over that in paint, as yeah, they are a little off ^^;), and the front crest is fabric and fusible webbing, as my hand-sewing sucks. So I may have to totally redo that to get a better effect.

And wow, I totally spaced and forgot about the black petals on the sleeve crests ^^; Need to get some black fabric paint for that.

And thank you ^^
