Mmmm, Seishirou...

Okay, so I'm fourty-five minutes late, but that's what I get for hanging with my brother upstairs while he's playing video games ^^; Now, on to the good stuff...

1) Happy Birthday Seishirou! It's slightly belated, but oh well ^^ He's already been sung to and I'm tone-deaf anyway, so I'll leave everyone without my horrific rendition of 'Happy Birthday' ^^

YUM. I'm far too in love with that layout. And you have the coat-trick picture in too! *squee!*

*fully agrees with the icon* I intend to use it...whenever I wake up later. Too groggy to poke now x_x

And that bondage picture......it speaks for itself. I think the man has been celebrated appropriately by anyone looking here XP

Hrrm... Actually I love the Enigmatic Ecc. layout, but I have a tiny picky (but important) grammar point. For someonone who used the very informal "boku" and "kimi" in that sentence... aishiteimasu just DOESN'T fit. It's so formal.. it would sound *wrong*.

Here's an example of the informal use, a lover might say to another: "Anata o aishiteru." meaning in a familiar sense "I love you, darling." or simply "I love you."

The only time I have heard the "masu" (formal ending) used was by the Backstreet Boys. Who while visiting Japan, in an adress to their audience, at the end of a press appearance yelled "Aishiteimasu!" ("We love you!") to hordes of screaming fangirls.

Subaru and Seishirou are not strangers. Nor do they have a huge separation of rank. It just... doesn't fit.

*coughs* Sorry, I just had to interject this here. Cocoa-san was the /first/ person I've seen yet to put their last words in formal form... which is /exactly/ what it's supposed to be. I'm sure you haven't seen the Japanese version of the manga, but if you have, you'll notice that all of Seishirou's lines are in formal form.

.....Oh yeah, that's great. Just /offend/ someone. Right. *sighs*

Anou... I didn't want to start a fight here or anything, so sorry. u.u;;; I bow to my senpai, actually, she's correct. A formal form would NOT have been used in conjuction with those informal forms of address. >.< I'm a retard.

Actually. I have. I have them right here. And I don't know how much you know culturally, but saying it formally would be like saying I love you to.. like I said... an audience. Especially odd as well, considering he went to the trouble of familiarizing (de-formalizing if you with) IN that specific sentence with the use boku and kimi.

It honestly sounds brutally retarded to go from the informal pronoun to the formal verb use. It really does. Like a child trying to say I love you to a business executive he's never met.

I don't know how much japanese you actually speak... I'm judging not a lot, as you're way off base here. Seriously, using "shiteru" when you tell someone you love them is common practice. The other way is almost never used in a modern setting.

Otherwise, you are indeed right, Seishirou would never go around tossing out "ro" or "zou" endings like Kamui's little offensive self... but this is a special case. Props for noticing his speaking patterns, though.

All I can say, is that if anyone wants to be anal retentive enough to make me fix it, they'd better tell me what to fix it _to_ *points to the bit about not knowing Japanese verb forms yet and is vaguely annoyed* Nitpick all you like, just do it somewhere else, please.
