Another year of surviving - though this one was a bit more interesting than most. And twenty years a Turk, now. I suppose that should be a terrifying thought, but it's more a way of life than a job.

We'll have to have a belated birthday party for you, then.

W-well, I didn't really think about it? I-I mean, I was so excited about celebrating for you, and finding the chimes, and I don't really celebrate my own birthday... I just sort of forgot after a certain point.

That's really not... There already was a party! I don't need one - I enjoyed myself very much!

Dinner, at least, then? If you're going to make a big thing out of my birthday, it's only fair I do the same.

You've never celebrated your birthday?

Well, what kind of food would you like? I'll pick a place and we can go, say, Friday night? Someone a little calmer than my party.

Well, not since I was very young. I haven't really had a reason to. If I was working, I took the day off to relax, but I didn't usually have the money to go out. And when I was a child we lived in the country, so Mother would cook my favorite meal for supper and we'd have a special dessert, but that was a long time ago.

To be honest, I hadn't really thought about it... Someone on the bus the other day suggested a category called "Greek"? I'm not certain what all it entails. I haven't had a chance for research on the topic. Have you heard of it before?

Well, we'll do something this time. I'm not familiar with Greek food, but I'll look into it.

It'll be an experiment, then! If you find some place you're a little more certain of, I certainly won't mind.
