Another year of surviving - though this one was a bit more interesting than most. And twenty years a Turk, now. I suppose that should be a terrifying thought, but it's more a way of life than a job.

The thought is very much appreciated. Hopefully Reno will be wise enough to keep his hands off it. They were delicious, by the way.

I think I warned him about that? I'm not sure. Things got a little fuzzy past a certain point. Wherever did he find such good liquor? I'll have to ask him later.

Have you decided where you'll hang the chime?

[identity profile] citydragon.livejournal.com 2009-11-11 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
Trust me - with Reno, you don't actually want to know. I think I may buy a support for it and hang it outside the window - the sound is quite beautiful.

I meant to ask you and then forgot - when is your birthday? I'll have to return the favor.

1/2

Oh, really? ...You don't think he stole it, do you?

2/2 - it's...not...lying, exactly...

[identity profile] librariansheart.livejournal.com 2009-11-11 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, mine? It's really not that important. I haven't had a celebration in years. I just visited my mother, usually.

[identity profile] citydragon.livejournal.com 2009-11-11 06:30 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think he stole it, but...just trust me on this one.

And it's not like my birthday is any more important. I'd like to get you something, at least.

[identity profile] librariansheart.livejournal.com 2009-11-11 06:34 am (UTC)(link)
When do I not? As you say.

Ah hah, well maybe it's not important to you, but it is important to other people. It's really not necessary, I promise.

[identity profile] citydragon.livejournal.com 2009-11-11 06:37 am (UTC)(link)
And your birthday is important to me - is there a reason you won't tell me?

[identity profile] librariansheart.livejournal.com 2009-11-11 06:41 am (UTC)(link)
Er, no, not... I just don't want to inconvenience you, I suppose. Besides, it's a touch late, and I really don't mind.

[identity profile] citydragon.livejournal.com 2009-11-11 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
It's not an inconvenience, Sheska. And better late than never, I suppose?

[identity profile] librariansheart.livejournal.com 2009-11-11 07:12 am (UTC)(link)
Well... It, ah... It turns out we have the same birthday, actually.

[identity profile] citydragon.livejournal.com 2009-11-11 07:19 am (UTC)(link)
Why didn't you say something?!

We'll have to have a belated birthday party for you, then.

[identity profile] librariansheart.livejournal.com 2009-11-11 07:23 am (UTC)(link)
W-well, I didn't really think about it? I-I mean, I was so excited about celebrating for you, and finding the chimes, and I don't really celebrate my own birthday... I just sort of forgot after a certain point.

That's really not... There already was a party! I don't need one - I enjoyed myself very much!

[identity profile] citydragon.livejournal.com 2009-11-11 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Dinner, at least, then? If you're going to make a big thing out of my birthday, it's only fair I do the same.

[identity profile] librariansheart.livejournal.com 2009-11-11 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I didn't
It wasn't

I'd be happy to. I'm not certain what would be appropriate. I haven't done this before.

[identity profile] citydragon.livejournal.com 2009-11-11 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
You've never celebrated your birthday?

Well, what kind of food would you like? I'll pick a place and we can go, say, Friday night? Someone a little calmer than my party.

[identity profile] librariansheart.livejournal.com 2009-11-11 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, not since I was very young. I haven't really had a reason to. If I was working, I took the day off to relax, but I didn't usually have the money to go out. And when I was a child we lived in the country, so Mother would cook my favorite meal for supper and we'd have a special dessert, but that was a long time ago.

To be honest, I hadn't really thought about it... Someone on the bus the other day suggested a category called "Greek"? I'm not certain what all it entails. I haven't had a chance for research on the topic. Have you heard of it before?

Friday will work quite nicely, thank you. Just let me know the dress code in advance?

[identity profile] citydragon.livejournal.com 2009-11-11 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, we'll do something this time. I'm not familiar with Greek food, but I'll look into it.

[identity profile] librariansheart.livejournal.com 2009-11-11 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
It'll be an experiment, then! If you find some place you're a little more certain of, I certainly won't mind.
