I always forget how annoying typing one-handed is until I actually have to do it.

Reno? The next time I see you, you are fucked.

One... one-handed?! Tseng, what happened?

Just sparring. Nothing a few days of rest won't fix.

I've seen you "just spar" - it didn't leave you so injured that you couldn't use your hand! And with your materia, you should have been able to heal it - unless you had sustained even worse injuries! What on earth were you fighting?

That blonde woman, Larxene - stay away from her, Sheska, she's extremely dangerous. If it had been a real battle, I'd be dead, instead of nursing a broken arm and some cracked ribs.

Drop by later, if you want proof that I'm not in any danger of dying at the moment.

... If I didn't take you extremely seriously, I'd be having some words with her about how sparring is to train, not to seriously attempt to kill one another. Tell me you've at least contacted another healer with more power than Elena? Wasn't Yuna a healer?

And you can count on a visit at some point - though you should let Rufus get the door if you're that injured, Tseng. You should really not be moving much.

Less training, and more of a test, really. And heh, you and Rufus finally agree on something. Like I told him, though, its really not that bad. I should be more or less up to speed by tomorrow, and good as new by Thursday or Friday.

And never fear, I plan on lazing about in bed as much as possible today. I still feel a bit like a giant walking bruise.

Not that bad? Tseng, you cracked ribs and broke your arm! That's bad! It certainly could be - and probably was - worse, but that doesn't make this not bad. And how, exactly, do you expect a broken bone to heal in less than a week without help? You probably don't even have it in a cast, do you?

Good. Stay there. You're not at work, for goodness' sake. You're allowed to rest.

The Cure spells we use speed up the body's own healing process. A powerful spell combined with a powerful gift can heal in minutes - but you have to be skilled to keep the new bone from growing in weaker, when you go that fast. In all likelihood, that's why it broke - Elena and I were captured and tortured about four months ago, and we didn't have time to find someone trained as a healer, or to let the damage heal slower. I have it splinted right now.

And believe me, I plan on it.

I-is the bone whole right now? Or is it still broken?

The ends have joined, although a good hit would snap it again.

And...this is another point where our experiences differ vastly. This was not the first time for me, merely the worst.
Even if you're going to supliment it with a little healing every day, i-it should really be in a cast at such a delicate stage.

Did I...?

I didn't...

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend.
That would require going to a hospital, which I'd rather avoid. I've done this before, it'll be fine.

You didn't offend. My point was more that it was less of an issue, for me.

Oh Tseng... Please, please be careful.

I've had to have bones reset before - believe me, I will be.
