So the incident with the dinosaurs has brought to my attention that many people here are less prepared to deal with the dangers of this city than they'd like. I have w number of years of experience teaching both firearms and hand to hand combat - I could also teach some forms of melee weapons as well. I'm also somewhat at loose ends at the moment. You'd there be interest?

I should warn you, as Elena is likely to tell you, I am not an easy instructor. And I won't teach people who can't show me that they won't misuse what I teach them.

That would be greatly appreciated... I tend to, ah, not do terribly well under high pressure unless I'm writing or transposing for someone... But thank you! What sort of hand-to-hand combat would you be teaching?

I know a few different styles, but for someone with a smaller build like you or me, it'd probably be something like aikido, which relies on using your opponent's force against them - I suspect you haven't spent as Mich time as me building up strength

Small...er?

Mm, no, I don't have much strength, which is why I usually focused on my gunmanship, but if the gun is taken out of the picture, I would be in rather a larger amount of trouble. I will do my best to learn all you can teach me!

I spar with a man who's about six two and two hundred pounds of pure muscle. Five four is definitely small, trust me.

And weapons are good, but you're right, you can't rely on having them all the time.

Ah! R-right! You must have been wearing heels or platforms last time I saw you, because you were definitely taller than me.

I assume you're going to be teaching in slacks...? Not a skirt?

I do usually wear heeled boots, yes. And skirts are beyond useless for fighting in - there's a reason the uniform is the same for both genders.

Oh, good. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to learn in a skirt - I don't really have any that are suitable for getting scuffed and torn. Should I invest in a pair of rugged heeled boots for training?

Haha, no, just wear whatever you would normally. I wouldn't even bother with the heels, myself except for working with a group of men who are all at least six inches taller than me.

Maybe you and I should go shopping at some point - clothes that look good and are still functional would be good, and I have no head for that sort of thing. You, on the other hand, h-have always had good fashion sense.

What, suits, suits, and more suits? It's mostly about getting the fit right, really. Mine are all custom - we use an armored fabric, it cuts down on the wear and tear little.

But if you'd like to, sure.

W-well, all the suits I have a skirt suits from my time in the military, which are less than flattering and... well, you always look very sharp and nice in yours, so even if I can't get mine professionally tailored, maybe you can at least help me find something that will look decent? I'm going to need some things to go to job interviews and such in, after all... But if you'd rather not, I can go on my own!

No, no, its fine, I need to buy a few things myself anyway. You just have mote faith in my fashion sense than I do.

You should be more confident! N-not that you're not confident in yourself already, but just that you always seem to know just what to wear - I think I've only seen you twice without your usual poise, and that was some time ago and under rather stressful circumstances.

If you'd like, though, I was hoping to go shopping this afternoon - there are some rather marvelous sales going on right now, and Mr. Sparda has asked me to come take care of his library, so I feel I'd better fit the part, and I'm not sure that my current wardrobe can hold up to his standards.
