[Locked to Sheska | High Security]

When you have some free time, could you come by the house? I need to talk to you about something.

Certainly! I just need to get the sunflower seed shells cleaned out. Would this evening be all right?

[An hour and a half or so after the usual supper hour, Sheska knocked on the door of the big Turk house bearing a plate of raspberry walnut chocolate chip cookies. (What, she had to find some way of getting rid of some of the nuts she'd bought...) It had been longer than she'd meant since the last time she'd seen Tseng and she was looking forward to a quiet evening of talk.]

[Tseng opened the door - only one person it could be, this time of the evening. He gave Sheska a somewhat awkward smile. This was going to be an uncomfortable conversation, but it was better than just leaving without saying anything. He stood out of the way of the door, holding it open for her]

Come in.

[Sheska's returning smile and greeting were full of undiluted cheer. She looked him over as she entered and slipped out of her shoes. She wasn't sure of his recovery schedule and whether or not he'd have the cast off by now, though she hoped so for his sake. She should have checked on him more frequently. As it was a little late for that now, she asked after his health, if he'd heard from the other Turks, and followed it up with...]

How did you like the books? It seems like they'd be some of your only company.

[The smile was a little warmer, now, as he led the way to the living room. There was only the slightest hint of a limp left from all the city's put him through.]

I've been getting out some, but yes, the house has been quiet with everyone gone. The books are excellent company indeed.

Oh good! I'd hoped that I had picked to your taste.

[Sheska followed obediently and set the plate on the coffee table, not at all put off by the quiet calm that reigned in this place. Still, the decor was something of a mix of personalities, and she could see reminders of all the Turks she'd met. He might not claim to be lonely, but she had a hunch that he really was. If only a little. But he didn't want to say so, so she let it go and gestured to his knee instead..]

Are you fully mended, then? It must have been such a relief to get that cast off!
