I really want to like my Linguistics course - the material is interesting, and the prof is actually pretty good. Unfortunately, my TA for the tutorial section is terrible. She's spends the entire period going over needlessly long answers to simple questions, I think in part to cover the fact that she doesn't know what she's talking about. And she does this instead of giving us important information about assignments. I'm starting to dread Fridays, and it's too late in term for me to switch to a different tutorial section.

And entirely unrelated, but can anyone point me in the direction of some good happy-techno? Something along the lines of DDR stuff like Candy Star (DDR recs are actually okay, too, as I haven't heard all of it, it's just that the tracks are short)

Have you looked at "Happy Hardcore" semi-ravish stuff? Lots of remixed songs with chipmunk voices. There's also that group Dune. I don't know if these are close to Candy, but they're pretty upbeat? :D Other than that, I can only think of more DDR songs. Hahahhaa.

I'll take a look at those. I mostly listen to synthpop and industrial, which isn't nearly upbeat enough for my current purposes XD; Thanks!

I don't know if it counts as techno or not (as I am musically quite stupid), but the Sunset Stripper's remix of Waiting for a Star to Fall (http://sing.likeahippo.org/04 Falling Stars [Club Mix].mp3) is one of my favorite peppy, happy songs. Or, uh, Patrick Wolf's The Magic Position (http://sing.likeahippo.org/02 The Magic Position.mp3) (again, not sure of its techno status).

If it's peppy, I'm willing to give it a try! Thanks :D

Several hours later, the obvious answer occurs to me. Have you heard the Katamari Damacy soundtracks? That's hours of nonsensical and aggressively happy electronic stylings. If you want it I'll upload it for you when I get home.
