Rufus vetoed swimming - I shouldn't be surprised, really, but I had hoped... Anyway. How would you and Elena like to come over here for dinner on Wednesday? I'm cooking steaks.

How goes the construction, out of curiosity?

To everyone interested in lessons - I haven't forgotten, just working out the details of equipment and facilities still. I'll let you all know when I have more details.

Lessons on what?

Self-defense and firearms training - this city is a dangerous place.

What, you some kinda teacher or whatever?

Date: 2009-08-04 03:29 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] citydragon.livejournal.com
In a sense. I've been head trainer and weaponsmaster for my organization for the past ten years.

Heh. My employer prefers to operate independently, actually.

tchhh! good luck with that!

Still interested. If nothing else, I could use some training. Haven't done that in a while. It is always easier if you have company, after all.

Yeah! Weapons! I need to learn how to use new weapons! Will you let everyone know when, eh?

Not to worry, I'll post here when I've got it all arranged.

Slowly, as it seems I'm working on it by myself more than anything. Give me a few more days, however.

Good to hear. I'd offer a hand, but I've found myself rather busy as of late, unfortunately.

Oh, really? Not even if he gets to sit in the bubbly hot one? Ah well. Somehow it's not terribly surprising. I'll have to reserve the swim suit for future Host Club events, then, I suppose.

Dinner would be wonderful! What should we bring?

Well, its not so much the swimming as the strangers bit. He's always been a bit body-shy, even before... Anyway, it might be a future possibility, but it wasn't worth arguing about it right now.

Dessert or a nice dinner wine would be appreciated. I think I'm going to want both, after today...

I wouldn't want him to be uncomfortable. We've done enough of being shy and irritable around each other for one lifetime, I think.

Hm. Is there a dessert that Rufus particularly likes? Maybe I can make something to brighten him up a bit. I wouldn't know anything about wine, but maybe Elena can help me.

Tiramisu made with a really nice dark roast coffee, and dark chocolate mousse - go for quality. I can't recommend brands, all his favorites fell with Midgar, and we've had more important things to worry about for the last two years. He'll like that.

Back to playing mediator between Rufus and a five year old, ugh.

I've found a good recipe for it - I'll just have to go get the ingredients. Hopefully I can bake and take care of the baby at the same time... Will it be ok if I bring him over tomorrow? I don't want to leave him or hire a sitter... If I could even find one.

... You found a five-year-old?

You found one too? And not a problem - I suspect that you're correct.

In the living room this morning, yes. He's made his dislike of us quite clear, and he's curious as hell on top of it, so as soon as I managed to get him to stop screaming, he asked about the wheelchair, and then I had to calm Rufus down, too. He's really got yo stop losing his temper over that, honestly.

I have a beautiful little 2-month old boy. He's actually very quiet and interested in everything. I'm just hoping that he's not one of the ones who cries all night long.

Oh, wonderful. Rufus will need that Tiramasu more than I thought.

I hope so too, for your sake.community. Having one old enough to talk is...irritating. Particularly as there isn't much to entertain a child here.

Hopefully I'll have things worked out a little better by tomorrow.
