Registration is such a pain in the ass. The massive downside of being in Science is that basically every class you take has a tutorial or lab on top of the lecture (which doesn't make the class any more credits). Which means that I'm limited in when I can take electives, because I've got four Bio classes I have to take, plus one Chem and Microbi. And of course Japanese filled up as soon as the first years registered a month ago, and the Religious Studies class I want filled up yesterday. Might be able to talk my way into that one, but I'm thinking Japanese is a no. So much frustration.

In other, unrelated news, I'm contemplating taking up fencing again after, what, five years of not doing it? I probably suck hardcore now. But it's come in in conversation a few times recently, as it turns out that the entire Tuesday night gaming group fences or used to fence. Guess I'll poke around and see what's avalible...

That's...odd. First years (Freshmen?) get first pick? At my school, seniors get priority which still doesn't help since Japanese fills up in a flash as there's only one professor.

We've got eight sections, and they're all full. The registration goes freshmen, seniors, juniors, sophmores. Which means I'm almost dead last.

Are you gonna be taking all your science classes in one semester? Or is it more of a series of classes...like 100, then 110, then 120, etc? That's kind of crap that the freshmen get to register first.

Ooh, and where did you take fencing? Was it a class or a side thing? That's pretty neat!

There's one set of series, and then there are a few that are only offered one term of the two. And yeah, particuarly as I had to wait for transcripts to be processed before I could register last year, and thus missed all the bonuses of being a first year.

I took at at a local community centre, waaay back in middle school.

I ended up clawing at Religious Studies in a blind panic today, hoping it might be open and might fill up my credits nicely. But no. Yeah. Full. XD

Well, Lions Gate Rapier Fighting is 7-10 Mondays and 8-11 Thursdays. Of course, I believe they charge (because they rent the places involved) Of course, you have games. Also, its rapier, not fencing. Just saying.

Well, I suspect anywhere is going to charge, and there will be schedule rearrangements in the fall anyway - good to know what my options are ^^ Should probably ask Jon and Nick and Richard where they used to fence...
