1) This is mostly for the Americans, although anyone can jump in if they feel free (although I know the Canadians' answer) - what would you call this style of hat?
2a) How many people here go to universities/colleges who decide registration times based on your previous averages?
2b) Have any of you had to defer required courses because they were full before your registration time came up/know someone who had to defer?
(The first came up in a discussion among the Wargamers, and the second, in a conversation I'm having right now with Yana, which sprung out of my worry about not getting the summer classes I wanted, 'cause I can't register until Monday)

2b. I've never had to defer a required class, but I know people at my school who have.

At least I know whether or not I got into a class - sorting here is by year and then by average within that year (I've got the short end of the stick - 1st years register last for summer, and then after May, I'll have 2nd year standing, and 2nd years register last for fall)

Date: 2007-03-23 03:26 am (UTC)From:Unfortunately, I can't help with 2a, since I've only ever gone to schools that based registration times on class year (so that seniors waiting to graduate would get first priority, with incoming freshmen at last priority). I have indeed had to defer things because they were full, but got to take them the next semester when I was bumped further up the registration order.

2b. Nope.
