Grades are in, mostly - so far I have a 72% sessional average, which, if not fixed, is Very Bad - my first choice major, Microbi, had an admission average of 82% last year, and my second choice, Cell Bio and Genetics is 75%. Granted, I'd have the second right now if not for the fucktard of a Bio prof and his totally arbitrary marking scheme - I think he basically wants us to reproduce his lecture notes from memory, because while my final wasn't perfect, it was better than a 56%.

Deep breaths. I will not look at the whole elephant, just start eating.

You're already in the school, but then you have to further apply for your major? That sounds royally awful. You're supposed to get a break from stressful application crap after getting into college. :(

They're two of the most popular majors in the faculty, I think - certainly two of the most popular under life sciences, anyway, and the school is huge, so yeah, there's a secondary application - I don't think there's any essays or that crap required, but there's a cut-off admissions average.

Yep... sounds like the bio prof I keep rambling about. Seemed cool at first, but turned out to be an asshole. (That and I didn't learn crap from him >_>;

Well, that's how you eat an elephant - you can't look at the whole elephant, because you'll convince yourself you can't do it, and be doomed before you even start. You just have to sit down and start eating.
