Craaaaazy Eyes

After like an hour of fiddling with screentone effects and what-not, I totally decided to scrap my previous plan for a new blog layout and start over. The moral of this story? Nocturne art, while pretty, does not work with any style other than super-clean. The Hitoshura layout has exactly two fonts, one of which is Times New Roman, and no special effects or brushes at all - I should have done the same with this Isamu screencap from the start. Ah well, I like where it's going now, so all is well.

Also, did some checking, and Ally can (and possibly does) have a CA driver's license, which is a truly terrifying thought, and my MA driver's license is totally valid here as long as my study permit is, and if I were to permanently move here, I'd basically just have to surrender my old license for a BC one. Hooray!

Back to editing and Torchwood (it's like the X-Files with more gay and cute Welsh butlers).

1. Eeeeeeeeeeeeee you're watching it, you're watching it!!!!!!!!!!! *runs around dementedly* :D

2. THANK YOU. I'm so glad the first thing you compared it with was X-Files. Most people compare it with Angel, which is like nuh-uh. Killer sex fiend aliens? So very X-Filey.

3. Torchwood: you don't have to be bisexual to work here, but it helps. ;P

I am, and I am loving it :D *is totally marathoning what's been shown so far right now*

Well, I haven't seen Angel, which probably helps (I hated him in Buffy, why would I watch a whole show devoted to him?), but Buffy is too soap opera-y - secret government agency + aliens totally screams X-Files to me.

Is it bad that I've watched four episodes and I'm already on the Jack/Ianto bandwagon? And not any of the particularly subtext-y eps, either, as I sort of started in the middle.

*uses nekkid!Jack icon from last year's Doctor Who, just because* XD

Ohhh, yeah that's right, I remeber you saying before you don't like Angel - fair enough (Angel as a character does kind of suck...and not in the vampire sense of sucking...^^). Anyway, Torchwood is definitely less the fantasy genre soap opera and more the cheesy/quirky undefined-genre drama. *nods*

*AHEM* Officially I'm more interested in Gwen (damn woman with her big brown puppydog eyes, she got me ♥) and supporting any f/f slashy scenes. Unofficially I'm totally waiting on the edge of my seat to see if anything happens between Jack & Ianto. ;) *coughcough*

Torchwood is like...X-Files crossed with some anime or something...I'm inclined to say Count Cain, but that's my tendancy towards cute British butlers/receptionist/stewards/whatever coming through.

I am totally about the femmeslash, too (go Tosh!), but Jack/Ianto is, for some reason, incredibly hot - I think because it plays into my favorite pairing archtype.
