Is the name 'Renée' familiar to anyone else? I saw it in some of the graffiti, and I feel like I should know it - but I can't remember.

Samehada-san, we should spar again sometime soon.

[OOC: As this is ~meta~ Souji is going to be dodgy about it on the journals, but I'm happy to use this for quicklogs!]

[He blinks]

How'd you get over there? I haven't been able to figure out yet, there aren't any bridges.

Making do with what the Tree dealt us with. Even so, there weren't much to learn in that place.

Well... I'm not sure I learned much either. There were a lot of machine-things, I think most of them were broken or something. But we couldn't figure out the one working one.

There were broken machines in that island as well. Musical instruments and a recording system. And then we found this.

[She reached into her backpack and pulled out a transparent zip-lock bag. Inside it was a piece of slightly creased paper (http://edensphere-log.livejournal.com/744370.html?thread=13235890#t13235890).]

[Souji takes the bag, and reads the note through it.]

More names... I wonder if any of these other people are the ones who left her name in the watch tower...

Date: 2011-06-15 04:31 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] lingeringlegacy.livejournal.com
In what context did you see that name?

Date: 2011-06-15 04:49 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] coughcoughshank.livejournal.com
[Souji rummages around in his kimono and finally pulls out a small notebook. He opens it to display a page of text (http://edensphere.livejournal.com/7737.html?thread=1912889#t1912889) he'd copied down]

This was what was written on the box. The bit about the wedding was on a calender, and then crossed out.

[First impression: Whoever wrote it needs a grammar checker.
Second impression: She doesn't know what a friends-cut is, but the context can be reasonably guessed.
Third impression: What does troubleclef mean? It doesn't seem like a spelling mistake.]

When you say lit-up box, how exactly does it look like?

Date: 2011-06-15 07:04 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] coughcoughshank.livejournal.com
It was about this big- [His hands indicate about a foot wide, and a little less in height] - and the back of it was um.. plastic, I think. The frame around the part with the words, too. The writing was really even on it.

Date: 2011-06-17 04:37 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] coughcoughshank.livejournal.com
...Is that what they're called?

Date: 2011-06-17 04:57 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] lingeringlegacy.livejournal.com
Maybe. I can think of a few objects fitting the description. I have one at home, if you wish to see.

[But now is no time for technology lessons.]

Still, I can't be sure those aren't just something left behind by someone like us. One not privy to the reason behind the rhyme.

Well, there was a whole big room of them. Bigger than it should have been, given the place's outside.

Date: 2011-06-17 05:17 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] lingeringlegacy.livejournal.com
Are there anything else on them? Or elsewhere in the location?

Date: 2011-06-17 05:23 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] coughcoughshank.livejournal.com
No, only one of them were lit-up. We tried the buttons on the other ones, but nothing happened.

Date: 2011-06-26 03:23 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] lingeringlegacy.livejournal.com
I see. Did you find anything else noticeable?

Date: 2011-06-26 05:03 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] coughcoughshank.livejournal.com
The room had dividers, making it into lots of smaller rooms, except they weren't full walls. Each one had a monitor and some blank paper and pens it - they were all the same except the lit-up one. There were some figurines in that one along with the calendar.

Cubicles... What you saw might be an office. How curious that it's locked at most times.

[Souji nods slightly]

That sounds pretty strange - I wonder why Rain and I could get in without breaking the lock.
