Motivation and Other Things

I've noticed lately that I can't work up the motivation to do much of anything active other than play video games and keep this blog. I've slowly gotten rid of any big group commitments - flute, GSA, Japanese class, fencing, tennis - even if I like them because it's just easier not to. This is a little disturbing, looking at it from a logical point of view, and also frustrating because sometimes I can manage inspiration to get something started, but it never gets finished, even if it's something I know I'll probably enjoy working on, because I just can't work up the mental energy to pick it up again. And I have no idea what the hell to do about it.

On a slightly sillier note, Virgil/Dante is mentor/pupil-love XD; Seriously, the Inferno is such self-insert real-person-slash fic written in 13th century Italian. Also, DMC!Dante seems to suffer from the same problem in fandom as Yuna does - everyone seems to think that their fathers' names are their last names. Suspect I may kill the next person I get my hands on using either 'Dante Sparda' or 'Yuna Braska'.

...There was totally something else, but I've forgotten what.

EDIT: I stand corrected on the name point. Capcom is just on crack, then XD; (But we knew that already, I think. Special Japanese crack.)

Whoa there fandom n00b. 'Sparda' is Dante's offical last last name.

Really? Okay, then it's just Capcom that's on crack XD; Because it seemed definately implied to me that Sparda is his dad's _first_ name.

Yep, it's his dad's first name and his last name. Capcom is indeed on special crack, but they've refered to him as 'Dante Sparda' in a number of official releases.

Alright XD; I still reserve the right to kill all the FFX fans who use 'Yuna Braska', because dude, _nobody_ has a last name in that universe.

(Also, been poking through DMC sites and LJ comms - avoiding the spoilers, though - mostly looking at images, and HumanForm!Sparda is strangely attractive >.> BigBlackArmour!Sparda still makes me want to yell out 'Look, it's the Legendary Dark Knight Sparda!' and then crack up XD; )

Actually, I confess to being somewhat confused. _Thought_ this (http://photobucket.com/albums/y109/Laryna6/?action=view&current=Sback.jpg) was HumanForm!Sparda, but after more wandering I'm less certain.

Thus, I turn to the expert - Sparda? Not Sparda? More of Capcom's special crack? Whoever it is is hot, anyway XD;

That IS human!Sparda. You just can't see his creepy ugly monocle from that side.

And it's "Vergil," not "Virgil."

No, I'm talking about DeadRomanPoet!Virgil. Not Dante'sBrother!Vergil XD; Although Vergil/Dante has it's merits, too.

Oops. Goddammit, stop mixing the Divine Comedy with DMC! I'll get so confused! :(

But it makes _both_ of them so much more amusing XD;

I wish I had some magical advice on how to regain motivation. Helps to get out of the house and just do something, sometimes. I didn't know you played flute; that would be a shame to let go of. Maybe you could look up some of the Devil May Cry melodies to practice?
