Yo, Maddie! This will probably help you in deciphering that sword-crack. Now, if only I could find character sketches or something for the movie art. Would totally kill for those right now.
On an entirely unrelated note, apparently my Shakespeare proffessor now associates me with Horatio. My work here is done XD

If Sephiroth has a 7-foot blade, and all swords are balanced just about the hilt, you've basically got the equivalent weight of two 7-foot blades, one end which is extremely dense and packed into the 12-foot-something end that is the hilt.
Enjoy your life. :P

Hard and Lots.
I'm going to attempt to do as the movie says and make it so that at least one of the swords can slip on and off the main one.
PS- Still love you.
If you're Horatio, you need to learn to fence!
