We just finished watching Dead Poets Society in English, which was very good even if I had to keep from crying at the end.

And apparently our final project for Hamlet is to do good enactments of various scenes (as opposed to sort of the more dramatized reading we're doing now). I wonder if she'll give me a good Horatio scene if I sparkle enough XD

This and the realization that I have no homework so far this week have made my day :D

What is dead poet's society about? :D (it sounds fun!) ... All we get to watch in English is that junky Romeo and Juliet remake set in modern times, in which they yell a lot and fail to make a bit of sense >.>; .... But if we get to act out Romeo and Juliet Yuumei wants to be the nurse 8D !!

(good to see Cocoa's feeling a bit better <3)

It's a movie that takes place in an all boy's school that THRIVES on rules, and Robin Williams is an English teacher who basically...breaks the rules.

There's a lot more to it, and it's actually one big ball of angst with some whackjob comedy thrown in there.

...Thank you, I think that's a lot better than I would have done XD;

It was good ^^

We can dress up for the scenes right now, if we want XD I plan on it, though.

Yeah, it was like that for me too, having to furtively blink away tears & hope none of my classmates noticed. *sheepish grin* Aw, English class was cool, I miss it (though the rest of High School can be summed up in one word: prison). We got to act out scenes from Romeo & Juliet, most of which were played for laughs ('cept for my group who did it seriously, cos we = uber-geeks ^__^).

Macbeth is still my fave.

We did Romeo and Juliet two years ago - I was Tybalt, and forgot the one line I had in the scene. But we had a swordfight! With background music!

And I enjoyed Macbeth when I saw it a few years ago, too. But Hamlet has grabbed me in a way Macbeth didn't.
