So, after spending most of the last week totally freaking out about my Spanish project, I'm...going last. Apparently as some sort of punishment for forgetting my project on the first day. I'm annoyed more than anything else, mostly because I just wanted to get it over with, but meh. I'll just forget about it until next week.
...And apparently Mrs. Dodge just said 'School isn't supposed to be amusing!' Some of my teachers are full of teh crazeh. The bad kind, I mean. Anyway. Costume analysis time, 'cause I don't want to do physics :D! *apathy*
Alexis seems to have four main outfits, most of which are pretty much different coats.
-Dual overcoats: The cracked out one, but definately his most often worn. Dark pimp-coat with dark fur collar and cuffs (although the coloring changes >.>), long plain dark coat a la Seishirou, dark waistcoat, dark pants white plain-fronted shirt with a tall fold-over collar, and tie, either red or some sort of stripe, along with cane (round-headed most of the time, although at one point it's more like Cain's, in the Butterfly Manor arc, whip, pipe, and at one point a tophat, and two other times some kind of hat that I can't really identify - small panels.
-Psuedo-frock coat: Shirt and pants like the first, but with a light waistcoat. The coat here is crack - it's longer and fitted like a frock coat, but has none of the cut or seams of one, and instead is more like a modern blazer. Only without the back vent. Also dark. Same accesories as the first, except with no hat.
-Evening-wear: From the beginning of volume 6, at the party. Pimp-coat, dark pants, and what appears to be a dark tailcoat, I think. Same plain-front shirt, but with a standing collar of some sort, and bow-tie. I can't quite make out if he's got a waistcoat on or not, he's not in a lot of panels. Cane and top hat, with a slightly more ornate pipe.
-Cardmaster regalia: Same pants, shirt and tie like the first two - can't tell if he's got a waistcoat or not. Great big ridiculous cape with tassels and funny drape thing. Normal pipe, ocassionally with a whip, can't remember if he's got his cane or not.
I'm uncertain of which one to go with, although for the shirt and tie for all of them I'm buying this pattern. All the coats but the tailcoat I've got patterns I can bastardize, as they're not period in the series, and I think I've got a cape pattern too. I need hunt down some period pants references still, though. Accesories....will deal with those later, dunno if I'll go with a hat or not.
Expect updates on this one in the near future, it's my current project ^^ I'll also probably tackle Jezebel's stuff later, too, although he's got a bit more variety than Alexis - would figure that the man who's Tatsumi's evil twin would have about as many outfits at he does XD;;

Date: 2005-03-03 12:02 pm (UTC)From:I think you should do #1 and the great big cape, because the great big cape is awesome :D (Couldn't you at least use your Seishirou coat for the under-overcoat? XD; Or is it different?)
So he only has a top hat at one point after all? ^_~

Date: 2005-03-04 11:34 pm (UTC)From:Mmm... Jezebel, the Psychotic scientist with a eye-fetish. >.> I've been wanting to cosplay him for awhile, but that probably wont happen for a bit.
I love Count Cain, and all of Kaori Yuki's works for that matter. The art is sooo pretty. *.*

Date: 2005-03-05 12:50 pm (UTC)From:Although, you guys could do it fairly easily, as in terms of looks, everyboy in Cain is someone in Yami's evil twin XD; Well, except for Riff, who's Muraki's good twin.

...
*giggles* He's is so owned!
However, unfortunately, I dont think anyone else has read Cain, nor do I think they have the time to sadly. ;-;
