Thank you <3 There'll be better photos come this weekend, I hope, which will probably be pimped everywhere because I'm in love with the costume and it's kind of my crowning Seishirou achievement ^^ I think Brooke did most of the actual pretty-making - she did the painting on the top two layers, I did all the sewing and the painting on the bottom layer, which you can't see in that photo. Without her, I'd really just look liked a fucked up Nagare cosplayer or something - their outfits are nearly the same, only Seishirou's is so much more gay. Men's haori aren't supposed to be patterned, much less with flowers ^^

Yeah, and that's actually a pretty half-assed photo, taken at 10:30 at night, with wrinkly kimono and a ghetto obi (Although, mind you, nobody could tell that bit as the haori covers it) ^^ We actually largely did it because it was all foggy and misty and cool-looking out over the campus, but my flash ate the fog or something. I may have to encourage Subaru cosplayer deathmatches by bringing the white shikifuku with me and then letting Mara and Claudia fight it out over who gets to be Subaru in the photos ^^;

Well, my camera does do video clips, but the quality sucks. Still, yes, a Subaru fight would be funny. I could actually see one happening between Clare and Suiel at Yaoicon >.> 'I'm the best Subaru cosplayer ever!' 'No, I am!' 'NOOO! RAR! *attacks*' *insert random fight noises here* ^^

And she so does. I made her a Yuuto coat in exchange for this originally, but after seeing how much work she did and how nice it looks (She put about 70 hours of painting in - I probably put nearly the same in on everything else), I told her I owe her another costume ^^

Considering her Yuuto coat only took me three days to make? I definately do. She'll make a cute Yuuto, even if working on that costume made _me_ want to cosplay him ^^

I'm not sure what kind of paints Brooke used on the middle layer - the bottom and the haori were done with DecoSoft fabric paints, I think was the brand name. Bought them at Micheal's for $1.50 a bottle or so. I used a larger one of the the slightly fancier craft brushes for the stenciling, and then a tiny one for touch-ups, Brooke used a small-ish one like mine to do basically all her painting with, I believe.
