It's 4:15 AM and I'm still awake. Feeeear. Anyway, spent most of my day sewing, with a brief aside into playing video games (Kingdom Hearts yay!), and doing a mini-update on Yuuzai. And drinking lots of tea. Seriously, I've had three or four cups already - two of mint, at least, and one of vanilla maple (it tastes like butterscotch, it's odd), and possibly another one I can't remember. And that was seriously about it.

I now feel the urge to go on a long-winded rant about something, but I already ranted to Marina about how I feel it's vaguely pretentious to go by the name of characters online - yay for my inner bitter cosplayer ^^ And I'm not awake enough for my 'Why LJ kind of sucks' rant I keep meaning to write...Murasaki touched on a few of the points here - I knew there was a reason I've kept reading her blog all these years (Seriously, third one I started reading. First was Heidi, second was Leareth...or maybe Leareth was third and Murasaki second, I can't remember now).

Also, for your random amusement - I see cosplay dead people! No, really. It suddenly came to me when I was talking to Marina. All of the characters I've cosplayed or plan on cosplaying have died in some canon form aside from Yolei. Clow's dead, Tatsumi's dead, Seishirou's dead, Subaru died in the movie, Fuuma died in the movie and the anime, and Sephiroth splats at the end of FF7. I think the only person who beats me for dead person-cosplay is Ari, who's got Seishirou and Sephiroth, plus movie!Akio, who splats, and Nagare, who seems to wish he was dead, and probably would have accomplished it too if Tatsumi and Watari hadn't shown up.

...Okay, that ended up as a long-winded ramble instead of a rant. Yay early morning. Oh, and happy slightly belated birthday to MD, and I hope you have a wonderful trip, Mara ^^

(Oh, and Leareth, I have your icon...you signed off right after I uploaded it ^^)

Waitaminnit...
Fuuma didn't die in the anime. >( What crack are you smoking? Kamui's the one of the two who died in the anime.

That's what I was wondering too x.o Unless Fuuma off-screen hacked his head off...I saw no Fuumie-death <<;

And Subaru's dead pretty much. He's like a living corpse. Doesn't count as the living :P

Subaru's dead pretty much. He's like a living corpse.

Ah, aren't we all? ^_~ Wasn't he actually kind of happy and nice at the end? I mean, he hauled his sorry, lazy, apathetic ass to save Kamui so...>_> Um...yeah, maybe he got over Seishirou's death or something.

...or he just started looking on the bright side of life ~~

The anime? I meant the manga XD;; It's 6-something, bah. Anyway. Hee....and is now living with Fuuma, pretending he's Seishirou. I can deal with that XD

Or maybe it was just one more crazy thing to do to guarentee his ticket into heaven. Who knows?

*laughs* Yes, that is so remarkably twisted. *loves it when Subaru pretends he's Seishirou*

*shivers*
I love it. <3 <3 <3

I meant Fuuma as Seishirou, but hey, that works just as well XDXD And as I've told others, he can wear his suits and flop around the old Sakurazuka home. With a thousand kitties named Sei-chan <3

Silly Sumeragi n.n

My bad, I've only watched the ending to the anime once, and it was a while ago. He still dies in the movie, though (granted, _everyone_ dies in the movie...)

Happiness is...a Yuuzai update. And it's good to see your H-chan photo up there officially. =^.^= Any thoughts to becoming the permanent Hokuto for Yuuzai? (okay, so I'm greedy & just want more more more :P)

Oh, go Murasaki! (I first saw her blog through Val's, so that was a loooooong time ago - but at the time I was obsessing on Leareth & Taryn so I didn't read much else of any other blogs). I said something similar on my last blog entry (http://mambo.pitas.com) (although very waffly^^;;;). I'd like to see what you have to say on the subject.

You're better off asking Clare and Jo about that. I have no problem doing more Hokuto, as she's fun, but I dunno if they'd want me - they've done TB all of _once_. That outfit wasn't even intended to go with them, it's just that I managed to lose my Subaru and Sei-chan, Marina and Elisha, in the dealer's room.

Leareth: don't worry, by "obsessing" I mean that I kept up with your blogs daily which in those days was a big thing (I was SUCH a newbie^^;;;).

Cocoa: I probably will ask them, since (a) I have no shame and (b) they should totally do more TB but with the VET'S WHITE LAB COAT next time.=^.^= (I did notice Marina & Elisha doing the genki-vet thing at YAOIcon, BTW, which was adorable)...well, more Hokuto-chan and more Tokyo Babylon is never a bad thing, whoever is cosplaying them. Just a suggestion; Subaru & Hokuto twins co-ordinated outfits (like the blue & red or something). ^_^

Well, you'll get more TB from me regardless, just not with me as Hokuto ^^ As cool as X Seishirou is, TB Seishirou is the one that owns my soul - there are _so_ many outfits from the artbook and such I want to do ^^ And honestly, much as I get really sick of hearing it, Jo is a bit better than I am at X Sei - she's got the personality. I, on the otherhand, come standard with the 'Whee, I'm on something, but you know you love me anyway!' personality ^^ And I sort of have a Subaru and a Hokuto who are both the cutest things _ever_ *squeezes Mara and Claudia*

I feel it's vaguely pretentious to go by the name of characters online

That's not *so* bad... what really bothers me is when I meet someone in person, at an anime-related event, and they introduce themself as their online name, which is taken from an anime or video game... and I never find out anything to call them other than the name of a fictional character.

I cosplay dead people!

I've only been properly cosplaying for a year or so, but it seems like almost everyone on my list of characters I want to cosplay is dead. But that's what I get for being a Gundam fan.

Date: 2004-06-23 12:46 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] momijizukamori.dreamwidth.org
Yeah, that'd be really annoying. Although, it's still pretty confusing online because it's like, I know a good five different Subaru cosplayers. If I called them all 'Subaru', there'd be mass confusion, I think.

And yay, dead people ^^

Yay for dead people!

And all nighters. YAY!

If you have enough leg hair and hairspray, you can spike it.

...Ouch, my brain.

Does it count if people ASK to call you by your online name which is not the name of any ani/manga/game character that you know of? ::looks sheepish:: My netname's easier for folks, I swear!

Date: 2004-06-24 07:00 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] momijizukamori.dreamwidth.org
No, if you came up with it yourself, it's not quite the same as being all 'I am Seishirou!' or whatever ^^ I have a number of friends I call by their net nicks because it's either less confusing (The number of Sarah's I know....), or I'm just too used to it.
