Hm, Christmas Eve already? It seems to have snuck up on me this year - although I suppose it's a testament to how entertaining this place is, that it distracted me that much. I suppose last-minute decorating will have to suffice. It may be difficult to find a real tree this late, though. We shall see~

Yes, though that was prediction, not planning. My mother's family attempting to acquire the Cards once they became active again was a near-certainty.

I was supposed to go back to Tomoeda after finding...well, you. So I was going to. I might stay here, though...I want to.

Surprise them. If they're anything like my family, they're so bound by tradition its not particularly difficult to do.

Well, I don't have a choice. They're not...fond of the idea of Sakura. They don't seem to get that she's your daughter, they just don't like that a non-Li has the Cards. They also don't like that I don't care.

I'm not surprised. However, there is a reason I don't plan on leaving the Cards to my family's care - they were never able to see them as anything more than tools.

[Syaoran's blush is so deep it practically radiates over the device.] I, uh. I love her and I was going back to Tomoeda to be with her. [He's blushing, but his voice is proud and happy.] But I don't need to, because she's here.

That's how I was raised to think of them. Like stronger ofuda.

And she returns those feelings? Very interesting. Not as things had been planned, but the unexpected adds a bit of spice to life.

And that is why she posses them and you don't, to be honest. The Cards are so very much more than that.

Yes, by a fair margin. More powerful than me, someday, though that will take some growing into, I believe.

I can tell. I can see it, but I don't think she realizes it.

She's a cute one, isn't she? She'll realize in time - it's hard not to, when you have a gift like that. I'm glad it all more or less worked out, it seems. She gave the Cards and my Guardians the home they deserved - perhaps, more so than I could have.
