Personally, I thought the writers went a bit overboard in making the other characters dump on Luke. Seriously, if you take into account the context of who he is, he's not any more annoying than most amnesiac teenagers with a fetish for older men. And if you take into account of who he REALLY is, then its even more forgivable. Besides, its a terrible double standard when another party member did a worse thing and everyone forgave easily, but I can't really say who because its a spoiler. But oh well, its typical JRPG fare.
