And yeah, that's pretty much what I was expecting too, as I had a friend who was like 'if you like FFX and want to take it seriously ever again, don't play X-2'. She was kind of right, but like I said, if I think of it as a crack AU, I can enjoy it for all it's utterly ridiculous outfits and random plot lines (though I still want to punch them a little for the hardcore plot-railroading they do).
