(no subject)

This has ended up getting put on the back burner with everything else that's happened lately, but I finally secured space and firearms for the class. First lesson will be Friday at 6pm at [address] Mostly the basics this week, I think, but there'll be some practice in there too. So, if you're interested, leave your name (I don't particularly care if it's real or not, just what you'd prefer I call you), your level of experience with firearms, and whether you'd be interested in hand-to-hand training as well - that's being put on hold until I determine what the teacher to student ratio is like, as smaller groups are better for that.

There will be a small fee, probably about $15 a class, just to cover ammo and firearms rental. And as I've said before, if I don't think I can trust you with a firearm, I will not teach you.

Indeed, I believe we can agree to that. Very kind and crafty of you, sir. You train soldiers, then?

Ah no, no need. Suppose I cannot call it my main expertise, but I've handled firearms for many years now.

W-well no one's nice all the time... But I wouldn't go that far...

Would you like to meet me at the firing range in the morning? So you can decide if you want my help or not for yourself?

[identity profile] citydragon.livejournal.com 2009-09-15 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I know and can teach in detail krav maga, Hung Gar kung fu, and Chángquán. One of my friends and employees can do ju jutsu, judo, and aikido. The other one here knows a mix of good old-fashioned street fighting and capoeira, but I'm not sure I trust him to teach others.

[identity profile] citydragon.livejournal.com 2009-09-15 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
That would be excellent. Would eleven am be all right? I will probably need some time in the afternoon to get the last bits organized.

[identity profile] citydragon.livejournal.com 2009-09-15 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Special operatives, actually. I don't have a great deal of respect for the army - they tend to put too much focus on obeying without question and following regulation. I prefer creative thinking in my subordinates.

[identity profile] citydragon.livejournal.com 2009-09-15 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
And hmm, perhaps I should organize a range night for those of us already skilled with firearms. Never too old to learn something new.

You've seen my nice side. You haven't seen me work or get truly angry. You wouldn't like it very much.

[identity profile] devilmythos.livejournal.com 2009-09-15 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I see. Yes, very true most of the time. Creative thinking in subordinates is sure to make things much more interesting, at any rate.

[identity profile] trainedto-shoot.livejournal.com 2009-09-15 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Eleven is fine. I'll meet you there.

[identity profile] devilmythos.livejournal.com 2009-09-15 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
True, even if sometimes close enough.

Sounds interesting, it's always nice to meet new people and keep the pieces aired. I don't use my guns nearly enough these days. A pity, really. I put such good work into them too.

[identity profile] citydragon.livejournal.com 2009-09-16 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
I'll see what I can get set up.

And I'm not sure we've been introduced - I'm Tseng.

[identity profile] devilmythos.livejournal.com 2009-09-16 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
No, strangely enough no. A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Tseng. A friend of Miss Sheska, yes?

Jack Alescio DeAngelis, but please, just call me Sparda.

[identity profile] citydragon.livejournal.com 2009-09-16 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, she's mentioned you a few times. You're Eva's husband as well, correct? A pleasure to make yours, as well.

[identity profile] devilmythos.livejournal.com 2009-09-16 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
That is correct. I hope my dear wife hasn't given you any trouble?

[identity profile] citydragon.livejournal.com 2009-09-16 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
Hah, no. She's an interesting, engaging woman.

[identity profile] bellstoll.livejournal.com 2009-09-16 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not talking about the kids here, just the ones you were hiring...wherever it is you're from.

You think you're gonna be hiring any time soon?

[identity profile] sarcasm-warrior.livejournal.com 2009-09-16 12:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I have no idea what those are, but they sound cool. Can I sign up?

[identity profile] clumsygentleman.livejournal.com 2009-09-16 12:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm... I am still interested in a class like that? If it helps? I have... some experience with firearms, but not much. I am better at using axes and bigger swords. So... add Xander Harris to your list?

[identity profile] dutchmancpt.livejournal.com 2009-09-16 12:47 pm (UTC)(link)
If you decide to have a hand-to-hand combat-class, I could send some of my crew. With there experience, I am sure they could be off help. If you want them.

Done.

[identity profile] citydragon.livejournal.com 2009-09-16 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, although it may be a while before those are offered.

[identity profile] citydragon.livejournal.com 2009-09-16 07:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll let you know - thank you.

[identity profile] devilmythos.livejournal.com 2009-09-16 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
That she is can't deny that. Not to mention very good with guns, speaking of which.

[identity profile] citydragon.livejournal.com 2009-09-17 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
Heh. That was how we met, actually. Her shop is quite impressive.
