Magic obeys natural laws, just as gravity and heat do. Ghosts are a fairy story to frighten small children.

This world seems to have some strange powers of it's own, though, so I'm not sure if it's the work of a single person. As for who we see...so far, all the people I recognize are people I've killed. I don't know if that holds true for the others.
