Meme

Yoinked from [livejournal.com profile] vonheston, because I've got lots of Middle English poetry left to read.

Comment here and I'll tell you one thing that I like about you. As an optional bonus, may also ask me to tell you one thing I dislike about you. Then go post it in your LJ and return the sentiment.

Intelligent, up-front and well-spoken about your opinions - I'm not even half as well-informed about politics as you are. America, honestly, needs more people who put as much thought into their opinions as you do.

At the same time, though, your fervor about said opinions can kind of grate a little after a while - I think I may be biased, though, as my ex-gf would totally flip at anyone who didn't care as much about whatever cause she was ranting about at the time as much as she did (and guess who that 'anyone' frequently was' XD;)

Thanks. :3

I wouldn't flip out or be angry at people for not caring, but I do admit to trying to guilt people into caring with the way I phrase certain things. I think this is comes from the fact that my mom could not care AT ALL about politics, religion, philosophy, etc. I grew up always trying to make her care but it never worked. Now i've kind of moved on to trying to make other people care. And yes, I am very passionate about my pet issues.

See, my family is the opposite - my dad was a PoliSci undergrad, worked on a lot of campaigns in the 80s, ran for state representative, so he's incredibly in touch. I try to pay some attention, but while I have opinions, it's hard to get me really worked up about most things.
