First and foremost, deatailed feedback = so, so much love. I was really trying to go for a natural progression of the relationship, in part so I could see if I could make it work. They've got a lot of chemistry in the games, but there's also a lot keeping them apart - namely the fact that they're both very dedicated to their respective jobs.
I confess that Leon is the POV character because I don't quite have Ada pinned down myself - she's very hard to create any sort of backstory for her beyond what canon gives, whereas my Leon has collected all sorts of random little quirks. The relationship is totally in her control though, thus the ending.
Leon has always struck me as being naive and a little socially awkward, particularly in RE2. He's wised up some by RE4, but it still seems like he's trying a little too hard to be 'cool'. So it comes out in his relationships, especially because I think he realizes that Ada is honestly far more sophisticated than he is and yet for some reason likes him anyway.
