No, if I wanted you to see it, I would have posted in Ari's LJ. If I had wanted to vent in the privacy of my own journal, I would have posted it here. Which is what I did. As for why I haven't replied over there, I've had friends over and haven't been online.
Well, as you were going on about how console gamers only want to finish a game and then move on to a new one, and they're the reason that games are becoming more simplistic and shitty, that's pretty down-putting right there. And I'm not even going to touch the whole 'Final Fantasy is an adventure game' thing because you are _convinced you are right, when the rest of the gaming world says otherwise - I could ask someone in the industry if you'd like, but I suspect you'd prefer to be wrong.
Your entire attitude has been that console games suck, and PC games rock - any arguments about simplicity are just to justify that goal. There's a lot of crappy PC games on the market which you seem to conviently ignore in favor of ragging on console games. As for the cutscenes, I'd say go play the Metal Gear Solid series, except oh, they're console games! There's no way they could be good. And RE4, which I mentioned before? Interactive cutscenes. You can't just sit back and watch (well, you _can_ - the death sequences are wonderfully gory and detailed...but if you want to advance forward in the game you can't), and to be honest, I love it. I hope more games do it, and I'm happy that Capcom has already said they're using the gameplay from RE4 for RE5, because it is the best gameplay I've picked up in a while.
