This is mostly for [livejournal.com profile] ariseishirou, as I have no clue how many other people reading this read Willam Gibson's stuff ^^

So, I'm surfing around, and I discover Willam Gibson has a website. It's got the typical author-stuff...bio, list of books (and a blog!), as well as some links to some articles he's written for Wired magazine (tangent, but Wired owns. It and Popular Science are the only two magazines I read ^^). And one of these articles is about eBay. Now, the fact alone that he has an eBay addiction amuses me. So, I'm reading the article, and it's written in what from what I can see is his typical style, which is very sort of eloquent, I suppose. A bit wordy at times, possibly. And then I come across this sentence: "I am deep into eBay, half-awake, staring at a scan of this huge-ass Zenith diver's watch." and the adjective 'huge-ass' just seems so out of place among the rest of his writing in the article that I'm just sitting here laughing.

God. I love Wired magazine. And Popular Science and the tech-haikus they had in the last issue. I am such a geek ^^
