I do <3 RPGs, but only for the story. Hate turn-based battle, and I far prefer action/adventure-style gameplay), which I like.
You might try the Star Ocean games, then, if you haven't already; the combat is real-time and more action than menus (well, except for spellcasters, you still have to pick spells off menus XD;).
