Hamlet has to be Shakesphere’s finest Tragedy; enriched with the finest soliloquies and also containing some of his most fluent and artful language. (Although, admittedly, Mercutio's Queen Mab speech is a favourite.) Hamlet was also amazing for the interplay of the three different religious interpretations of the Ghost of King Hamlet. To the one, it signified madness. To another, divinity. And to Hamlet himself, the struggle between whether to believe his father's spirit a devil in disguise, or an angel sent to guide his cause.
