I'm not a local (obviously), but reading books onto tape can be a good way to get the hours done quickly and there's probably an organization for that in your area, since they're fucking everywhere. Since you're supposed to read the book to yourself first and then read it aloud for the tape, if you're a quick reader you often get credited with more hours than you actually spent.
