Summer

Yeah, I'm around, I've just been wandering off doing other things. Mostly working, which still sucks, but what else is new? Hopefully I can trade one of my really awful shifts for a less awful one, though, which will be nice. I've also been doing a lot of reading - currently part way into the first volume of the Baroque Cycle. Also been having lots of fun with the Turks RP, which I just made a new layout for (art by C ^^). Oh, and I bought my plane tickets for Otakon, w00t ^^

Anyway - last bits of my NC trip. We watched Deliverance, which is amusingly bad, and features Burt Reynolds the Machismo Tire - many jokes were made about this afterwards. We also went to Christmas in July, which is kind of a little street-fair type thing. My cousin Tyler, who is fourteen but very very short, entered a bunch of his goats in the livestock judging, and I got to help out with getting them ready and stuff. He came away with one third place, one second place, three first places, and one Grand Champion, which was nice. Then I spent the car ride home watching Kyo Kara Maou, which I will probably dedicate a full entry to later, when I'm not so tired.

Things I need to do still:
-Call the RMV and book a road test (Tomorrow or Thursday, before my mom kills me)
-Pre-reg for Otakon (Sometime between now and Friday - the price goes up then)
-Fifty hours of community service (Before Otakon. Someone save me please I have no ideas or time *hyperventilates*)

I probably have too, at some point. I would be surprised if the character on it, Gwendal von Walde, actually has killed someone with his knitting needles - he's a bad-tempered sword-fighter and earth mage with an affinity for small, cute things. He even has a little toy dolphin hanging off his sword belt XD

At this point, I've given up entirely on believing what the fansubbers say, and am going with the ones I like best, to be honest XD I also refuse to attempt the German/Russian/etc. pronunciations because I am not German, I do not speak German, and none of the places or characters are German either XD; I also refuse to get involved in spelling/romanization/pronunciation debates for anything, because it's dumb and gives me a headache XD;

In other news, Gwendal = teh WIN. At least in my book ^^

He is totallt teh win. Him and Wolfram have been my favorite KKM characters since it first aired, and continue to be into the second season. If you haven't seen all of the newer eps yet you will LOVE Gwendal even more as the series goes on XD

It is Voltaire, though, even though I prefered Walde as well. :/ Marina and I had a debate about it a few months ago and pretty much proved it was Voltaire. The katakana used in his named is the exact same at Voltaire's. (we typed it in to amazon.co.jp) So it's not really a case of prefrence for Voltaire, that's just what it almost positively is. XD;

Eh, I do it in the Death Note fandom too - ignore what is pretty much canon because I think it's far too stupid XD;

And I don't really like any couples yet for the series.
