I think I like the Phantom because he dresses well and is so pathetically emo
He totally is. He's all like, "My life sucks. Nobody likes me. I'm going to live in a dark, dank little hole and be all lonely." X3 AHNGST! SO MUCH AHNGST!
You know, seriously, maybe if he hadn't gone ballistic and yelled at Christine when she first took of his mask she would've been all cool with it and been like, "Hey, you're not that bad. Let's get it on." and the story would've had a happier ending.
I totally love the part where the Phantom kinda ropes up Raoul and ties him to the gate-thing. I was so sitting there thinking, "OMG, it looks like they be wantin' to play them kinky sex games." *laffo* It's great.
I also like the part where it's all like, Christine's all touching him on the face and "I'm going to take your mask off." And the Phantom's like, "Lalalala, sure, that's cool."
Christine: I'm really gonna do it. Erik: Uh huh...yeah... Christine: *takes it off* Erik: YARGH!
One would think he'd be less oblivious.
Seriously though, Gerard Butler was like...so hot in there. O_o;; Hottest ugly person EVAR! EVAR, I say! *melts into a little puddle of goo* It amuses me that we were probably watching Phantom at the exact same time. ^_^ Me on the plane, you at Mara's house. :3
And yeah, I totally have a mask fetish. :x (Hence my obsession with Baldwin from Kingdom of Heaven.) I actually really really like his regular mask. 'Tis pretty. I'm not so hot with the skull one, unfortunately. ._. At least it's better than the one in the actual musical. *wants to fangirl the Phantom* You know, maybe if he actually went outside for a bit, he'd realize how many fangirls are willing to love him (and in what awesomely perverted ways) and maybe he'd stop being emo. X3
