AKA, Cocoa pimps interesting and/or useful things ^^

-First, a really good set of info for anyone other than Nicole, Ari, or Tam, who have all had that one-eyed experience, attempting to write Subaru, Seishirou, or any other one-eyed character and actually mention their vision should read _now_ - here.

-TheDeadParrot writes the _best_ Hughes/Roy fic. Her (or his, my apologies as I don't actually know ^^;) fic archive is here

-Also on the Hughes/Roy front, people have kindly posted scans of some really niiiice doujinshi here and here - the evil scheming chibi Roy icon is from those scans ^^

-More FMA pimpage, Hime's alter!series (warning, end of series spoilers ^^) is gorgeous and lovely and I <3 Masuta ^^

All this talk of one-eyed-ness [GAH. I can't speak English anymore, leave me alone] reminds me of my creepy chemistry teacher who had one good eye and one blind eye that wandered just subtly enough that we always forgot which eye was the good one, so it was really fucking hard to tell which side of the room he was looking at. God, he was a jackass [which one assumes wasn't really caused by the one-eyed thing, but it bears saying].

Umm, I was going to make a grand statement about the state of having one eye and its pressing effect on Seishirou and Subaru's respective psyches? Nobody believes me. I settle for tangentially related comments that ramble. God, I'm way too chatty tonight. Sorry.

Hah, my chem teacher last year was mostly just oblivious and boring - seriously, Morgan once called out 'You're a dumbass, Mr. Bonofiglio' from the back of the room fairly loudedly, to see what he would do, and he just. Kept. Talking. I spent most his classes reading other books in the back of his room.

I have no idea what it would do to their psyche - For Seishirou, probably not a hell of a lot, although I don't want to _touch_ his guilt complexes. I'm more just getting annoyed by authors harping on the lack of depth perception that doesn't actually exist >.>

What is there a rule that chem teachers can't be cool or something? I, uh, sort of kind of really pissed mine off when my reply to his indignant why are you doing math during my lecture was that his lecture wasn't teaching me anything I couldn't get from the textbook faster on my own. >> This actually inspired him to focus for the rest of period, but caused my classmates to yell at me for making the teacher turn scary. <<

Yeah, I don't think it actually did much for their psyches, they were screwed way before that. <3
